The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA will be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the substantial number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The support stage designed for intervention encounters a superior inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that office to attend to all people who take a look at status sassa a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to empower the servicing of all customers and improve entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
